IWAS Junior World Games Wrap

Madison de Rozario at the finish of the Challenge Fun Run15 September 2010: As some of you already know, Madison had a sensational time at the IWAS Junior World Games in the Czech Republic.

She picked up an infection after the Swiss/US trip which kept her out of training for quite a bit. With a week and a half under her belt, she felt confident she would be okay by the time we got to Olomouc.

Though not at peak fitness, she did extremely well winning all six of the events she entered on a very slow track.

Not only did she pick up six gold medals, she also now holds the IWAS underage world record for the 100m, 400m and 800m. Ironically, none of these three were anywhere close to her season's best.

She's now preparing for the IPC World Championships in Christchurch, New Zealand, and is  quietly confident she will find a senior podium finish at a major competition soon. We think she will.

For those of you interested, we have put together a "Czech Wrap" video which you can view here. We will also post videos for each of her six events shortly. Check back soon.

Some of the photos from the competition are also online. You can see them here.
