At only fourteen, she’s proving to be a super sensation in her sport – wheelchair racing. She’s only new to wheelchair sports and the Beijing Paralympics was never a realistic goal. Isn’t it amazing how positive thinking works – somewhat inspirational.

The Legendary Frank Ponta
Now in his seventies, Frank became a paraplegic at the age of 18. His athletic talent naturally drew him into wheelchair sports where he competed in no less than 16 international events all over the world.
Frank first won gold for Australia in fencing at the 1957 Stoke Mandeville Games. Three years later he was a member of the Australian team at the first Paralympics in Rome. His efforts resulted in two silver in field events. He then went on to compete in Tokyo, Tel Aviv, Heidelberg, Toronto and Dunedin winning four medals. Frank is also acknowledged to be one of the greatest wheelchair basketball players of all time.
